Disruptions.

I have found, while trying to manage, that it does not take much to completely derail my day. And my plan.

Take for example, this morning. It was 2 a.m., to be exact. The loudest crash of thunder I’ve ever heard rocked my city (quite literally) and seemingly woke everyone up, myself included. It was out of nowhere, followed by some rain and hail for a brief moment, then gone. But did I go back to sleep? Of course not.

This put me entirely out of whack in the morning. I wanted to sleep longer than I needed to. I got a much later start. And I just simply wasn’t motivated. That said, everything that needed to get done still got done. I just felt like I slacked some because of disruption. But the moral of the story is we cannot stop all the disruptions. We can just be prepared to deal with them.
